The Promise

Your idea is yours

No idea submitted to this platform will ever be built without the owner's explicit consent. Period.

You own it all

The idea and any artifacts generated (code, designs, documentation) remain your intellectual property.

No surprises

If your idea wins, you'll be contacted first. You decide if the build proceeds. No pressure, no obligations.

The Partnership

What happens if you win?

If your idea wins the weekly vote and you consent to have it built, you receive everything for free:

  • Free AI analysis — your idea evaluated and refined
  • Free planning document — technical roadmap and architecture
  • Free working prototype — built live, streamed for the community
  • All code, assets, and documentation — delivered to you
  • Community exposure — your idea showcased to our audience

In exchange: Idea Builder takes 10% ownership in the idea and any AI-generated artifacts.

This is a fair trade: you receive a working prototype worth thousands of dollars plus community exposure — completely free. The 10% stake only has value if your idea succeeds, aligning our incentives with yours.

If Your Idea Doesn't Win

Not every idea can win each week, but that doesn't mean your journey has to stop:

  • Your idea remains 100% yours — no strings attached, no ownership claims
  • Resubmit for future weeks — you can try again as many times as you like
  • Optional paid services — if you want to continue developing your idea, services are available to help you move forward

There's no pressure to use paid services. They exist as an option for those who want to keep building, not as an expectation. The free weekly contest is the heart of this platform.

The Consent Process

    Your idea wins the weekly vote

    The idea with the most votes at the end of the week is declared the winner.

  2. 2

    You are contacted

    Using the email associated with your account, you'll be contacted to discuss the build.

  3. 3

    You decide

    You can accept (the build proceeds with the 10% partnership), decline (no hard feelings), or negotiate.

  4. 4

    Build proceeds (only with your approval)

    Once explicit written consent is given, the live build is scheduled and executed.

What You Keep

  • 100% rights to ideas that don't win or you decline to have built
  • 90% ownership of any idea you consent to have built
  • Full access to all generated code, assets, and documentation
  • The right to use, modify, sell, or license your idea however you wish
  • Attribution as the original creator

What Idea Builder Gets (For Built Ideas Only)

  • 10% ownership stake in the idea and generated artifacts
  • The right to showcase the build in the portfolio
  • Credit as the builder (not the creator)

Prohibited Ideas

Idea Builder reserves the right to reject, remove, or decline to build any idea that falls into the following categories, regardless of vote count:

  • Illegal activities — Ideas that would facilitate illegal gambling, drug trafficking, fraud, or any activity prohibited by law
  • Adult content — Pornography, explicit sexual content, or services primarily intended for adult entertainment
  • Predatory practices — Ideas designed to exploit, deceive, or take advantage of consumers, vulnerable populations, or use dark patterns
  • Harmful content — Ideas promoting violence, hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Intellectual property violations — Ideas that infringe on existing copyrights, trademarks, or patents

This list is not exhaustive. Idea Builder maintains sole discretion to decline participation in any idea that conflicts with legal requirements or ethical standards.

Withdrawal Policy

Yes, you can remove your idea. Before the voting period ends, submissions can be deleted at any time. After voting ends, if your idea wins, you can still decline to have it built — the next highest-voted idea moves forward instead.
